Everyone that knows me should be aware of the fact that I absolutely LOVE the 80’s and 90’s television show Roseanne. I still watch the reruns of it every night on Nickelodeon (Nick at Night). Simply put… It’s the best show that was ever aired on television whether you like it or not! There’s a lot of people that feel the same way I do, but most of my friends think I’m crazy for liking it just because they’ve never sat down to watch an episode through and give it a chance. I don’t think it matters whether or not you were old enough to understand the jokes when this show as it’s prime in the 80’s because it can appeal to anyone - young or old. The show won 3 golden globe awards during it’s 9-year run in addition to 41 other awards and 69 nominations.

Roseanne became an overnight hit series because of the shows focus on subjects that most other popular TV shows at the time tried to avoid. A few examples being sex, drug use, alcoholism, homosexuality, obesity, teenage pregnancy, social class, household gender roles, and domestic violence.

So there you have it.. Since ALL of the things I listed above are a part of everyday modern media programming nowadays we know that we can single handedly thank the producers of Roseanne for molding television into what is today. It certainly did start a trend.

So if you haven’t seen Roseanne and up until now you’ve been under the impression that it’s a boring and typical 80’s television series then you need to give this show a shot - It’s HILARIOUS. With that said I’ll explain what inspired me to write this post. I’ve been searching high and low on the internet for a Roseanne graphic tee and I can’t find anything! I’m just stunned that out of all the online t-shirt retailers none of them have a single Roseanne themed tee! So I’ve decided to make my own and have it printed by cafepress so that not only I can buy it for myself, but all the other Roseanne fans out there can purchase it too. Since I hadn’t updated my blog in like a century (until today) and there were just a ton of changes overall that I wanted to make to it I decided that it would be best to just completely start fresh.

Like 90% of the people that read this thing are probably some of my closest friends and know everything there is to know about me, but for those of you that don’t here is some basic info…

Some goals I’d like to accomplish sometime before I die:
1. Graduate from college (a top priority right now)
2. Pass the Texas State PE Exam to become a licensed software engineer
3. Spend less FREE time online (of course I need the internet for work)
4. Ride a mechanical bull
5. Design my own house
6. Find my dream job
7. Become a master at Ruby programming
8. Follow a strict daily routine and sleep schedule
9. Get married (conditional: only if I can finally find a guy that’s not a jerk)
10. Have a baby (conditional: only if I can accomplish goal # 9 first)

blogging, wordpress, web design, graphic design, ebay, computers in general, shopping, decorating, cooking, greek food, puffy cheetohs, watching movies, animals, the animated broom on fantasia, coloring in my coloring books, watching roseanne and the golden girls, discovery channel, travel channel, animal planet, computer programming, going to school (sometimes), sandwich shops, coffee shops, msn messenger, classic rock and 80’s music, 80’s movies, fast times at ridgemont high and the goonies, prison break, and what not. =]

Some things that I dislike are…
drugs, smoking, tattoos, chopped and screwed music, slow computers, ebonics, girls that act like bimbos and wild party people.
